TackleAtlas takes part in affiliate programs. When you follow certain links from this site to a retailer and buy something, we may receive a commission. It costs you nothing — the price you pay is the same as it would be without the link.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
This disclosure is made in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).
Which programs
- Amazon Associates (United States)
- Retailers in the outdoor and fishing trade, including Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s
- Brand programs run through affiliate networks such as AvantLink and Impact
Commission rates differ between these programs, sometimes by a wide margin. That difference is invisible to the editorial process, and deliberately so.
What commission does not buy
- No brand has paid to appear on this site, and no brand can.
- No product is ranked higher because it pays more. The recommendation is frequently the lower-paying option, and occasionally an option we earn nothing on at all.
- Nobody outside TackleAtlas reads or approves a guide before it is published.
- Where the honest answer is “the budget model is enough for what you do”, we write that, even though it earns us less.
How links are marked
Commercial links carry rel="sponsored nofollow", and every guide containing them shows a disclosure near the links themselves, not only in the footer. Buttons that lead to a retailer are coloured orange throughout the site — that colour is used for nothing else, so you can always tell a commercial link from an editorial one at a glance.
Prices
Prices and availability change constantly and are set by the retailer, not by us. Any price range shown here is indicative, was accurate when written, and should be confirmed on the retailer’s own page before you buy.
Advertising
Separately from affiliate links, this site displays advertising. Those slots are filled programmatically and we do not choose the advertisers. What data advertising involves, and how to control it, is set out in our privacy policy and cookie policy.
